AVSG was awarded the AmQuip Corporation project to include equipment and installation of the Office Video Displays. AmQuip “The Crane People” is the leading provider of crane rentals and related services in the Northeastern United States. AmQuip owns and operates hundreds of cranes, ranging in size from “small” machines such as 6-ton industrial cranes up to 500-ton all-terrain and crawler cranes.
AVSG provided four, high resolution, wall mounted, LCD, flat panel displays. Two displays are 40” in image size. One is located within the lobby area and the other within the break room. The third display is 46” in image size and is located within the large executive office. The fourth display is 65” in image size and located within the boardroom.
The sources for each display are centralized MAGICBOX digital signage server, local PC video/audio connectivity (for executive office and boardroom only), HD Cable TV and DVD video (for executive office, boardroom and break room). Audio/Video distribution of centralized digital signage is traversed over dedicated CAT5 connectivity to each display. The cable TV video source is traversed over standard HD RGB cabling and DVD over S-video cabling. The local PC video for the executive office and boardroom is connected via a table mounted interface. Each location containing HD Cable TV has its own HD receiver local to each display for ease of operation and control of channel tuning.
All program audio is through the use of speakers mounted on each display with the exception of the boardroom; which contains four ceiling mounted speakers. Each display has the ability of being controlled locally via a wall mounted interface. The same wall mounted interface has IP connectivity to the corporate network allowing centralized control and automation of each room. Control is on/off, source input switching, and volume up/down. Cable TV receivers and DVD players use their own respective infared remote control for local operation.
All displays are of professional quality and are designed to operate 24/7. All peripheral equipment is housed within an equipment rack, located in the central server area.
