pennsylvania hospital zubrow auditorium

AVSG was selected to install the audio/video components for the Pennsylvania Hospital Zubrow Auditorium. The system consists of a high resolution, high brightness, LCD video projector. The projector displays in rear projection mode. It also consists of a 14’ diagonal, rear projection glass display. An additional 42” plasma display is located in the reception area. This display is utilized for viewing all main source video being displayed in the auditorium. The system has a capacity to display from any one of six procedure room video sources with source input expansion.

All image sources either local to the conference room or from remote procedure rooms are scaled up to the highest possible video resolution offering increased image resolution and quality.

Local room video sources consist of DVD, VCR, PC Video, Document Camera, Videoconferencing and Cable TV.

The podium in the auditorium contains a microphone, PC VGA laptop connectivity, room control interface, document camera, and Smart Sympodium interactive touch panel display.

The Smart Sympodium is utilized with a laptop PC to provide real time PC interactivity and annotation for viewing on to any of the auditorium video displays.

Two additional wall mount PC video connections were also utilized.

A high resolution videoconferencing system was added for tele-medical applications whereby Pennsylvania Hospital transmits any video source (either via ISDN/IP) to any remote far-end site. The far-end site shall have the ability to view any single video source as it is displayed locally in the Auditorium.

Three ceiling mounted cameras can be utilized during a video conference session. One can be utilized for capturing room audience, one for a presenter at the podium and one for stage demonstrations.

There are also ceiling mounted microphones. The microphones are hanging ceiling microphones located on the lower ceiling portion of the auditorium as well as at stage area.

The microphones are utilized for both audio and video conferencing for full room participant coverage with the added benefit of providing “voice lift” for all room participants to hear one another.

Additional podium and wireless lavalier/handheld microphones are utilized as part of the system for voice lift, audio and video conferencing.

A portable “Press Box” is utilized as audio source output for any applicable events.

There is also a dedicated room intercom system between designated procedure room and auditorium.

All room meetings have the ability to be recored on to a DVD/Hard Drive System.

The system contains a dual CD audio mixer system for those events requiring the use of CD DJ operation.

All program local room and remote source audio is through the use of wall mounted speakers.

All system control is through the use of an automated control system. A 10”, color, touch panel controller shall be positioned at the podium to allow the meeting presenter, basic control over room functionality.
